This article made me feel better about us renting! I still want my upstairs downstairs backyard white picket fenced house one day! While the article says you are still losing money being a homeowner, it doesnt beat the fact that it is yours to call your own and you WILL definitely get back something even if not all your money when and if you decide to move.

We found the perfect ‘starter home’ south of Orange County. It was to us just the right size and everything we liked about having a home but alas, we couldn’t come to an agreement on the price so *sad face*😔. I didnt realize how difficult it was to purchase a home in Socal. There are a lot of homes but to find the right one in a good area at a price you can afford is just plain hard and they take you for every penny you have. We just want to stop renting because we definitely arent investing no matter how nice the benefits of living in our current place are. Oh well back to the drawing board -_-

My last post on marriage, I found the article amusing and I do feel it is quite true. He drives me craaazy as I do him, I am pretty sure! He can be the silliest and we can argue over everything from the type of furniture we select to the type of vegetable oil we should buy.

I was always a private person and my space and thoughts were and still are important to me but marriage will change that for you and I am definitely getting used to it. Makes me wonder about my past relationships and how it was never this difficult to choose a brand of veggie oil?! *jokes*… I just mean with my husband, it is as intense, and should be rightly so otherwise I would not have married him for he keeps me alert at all times and just makes me love him after every fight. *cough* (ask me again in a couple of years lol).

I love his light brown hair and his light green eyes (he insists this is blue but I think it is only blue when he wears blue, if that makes any sense!) but yeah I stick to light green, I am the one looking into them after all haha! He loves loves loves playing soccer and I have yet to see him play every Sunday which I will, I promise! I miss the crazy dance moves he does when he is away…. Ohhh Chicago when will you let him go! Hopefully another state so I can visit :)

That is all for today. I am waiting for him to be done with this ridiculous zombie game so we can grab some chipotle!

I’m an introvert, and proud to be one. But at times people regard us as ‘the other people’. I found this circulating on the net, so here’s Mercatus Center scholar Jerry Brito debunking the top ten myths about introverts:

Myth #1 – Introverts don’t like to talk.
This is not true. Introverts just don’t talk unless they have something to say. They hate small talk. Get an introvert talking about something they are interested in, and they won’t shut up for days.

Myth #2 – Introverts are shy.
Shyness has nothing to do with being an Introvert. Introverts are not necessarily afraid of people. What they need is a reason to interact. They don’t interact for the sake of interacting. If you want to talk to an Introvert, just start talking. Don’t worry about being polite.

Myth #3 – Introverts are rude.
Introverts often don’t see a reason for beating around the bush with social pleasantries. They want everyone to just be real and honest. Unfortunately, this is not acceptable in most settings, so Introverts can feel a lot of pressure to fit in, which they find exhausting.

Myth #4 – Introverts don’t like people.
On the contrary, Introverts intensely value the few friends they have. They can count their close friends on one hand. If you are lucky enough for an introvert to consider you a friend, you probably have a loyal ally for life. Once you have earned their respect as being a person of substance, you’re in.

Myth #5 – Introverts don’t like to go out in public.
Nonsense. Introverts just don’t like to go out in public FOR AS LONG. They also like to avoid the complications that are involved in public activities. They take in data and experiences very quickly, and as a result, don’t need to be there for long to “get it.” They’re ready to go home, recharge, and process it all. In fact, recharging is absolutely crucial for Introverts.

Myth #6 – Introverts always want to be alone.
Introverts are perfectly comfortable with their own thoughts. They think a lot. They daydream. They like to have problems to work on, puzzles to solve. But they can also get incredibly lonely if they don’t have anyone to share their discoveries with. They crave an authentic and sincere connection with ONE PERSON at a time.

Myth #7 – Introverts are weird.
Introverts are often individualists. They don’t follow the crowd. They’d prefer to be valued for their novel ways of living. They think for themselves and because of that, they often challenge the norm. They don’t make most decisions based on what is popular or trendy.

Myth #8 – Introverts are aloof nerds.
Introverts are people who primarily look inward, paying close attention to their thoughts and emotions. It’s not that they are incapable of paying attention to what is going on around them, it’s just that their inner world is much more stimulating and rewarding to them.

Myth #9 – Introverts don’t know how to relax and have fun.
Introverts typically relax at home or in nature, not in busy public places. Introverts are not thrill seekers and adrenaline junkies. If there is too much talking and noise going on, they shut down. Their brains are too sensitive to the neurotransmitter called Dopamine. Introverts and Extroverts have different dominant neuro-pathways. Just look it up.

Myth #10 – Introverts can fix themselves and become Extroverts.
Introverts cannot “fix themselves” and deserve respect for their natural temperament and contributions to the human race. In fact, one study (Silverman, 1986) showed that the percentage of Introverts increases with IQ.

I woke up today to find an email from Andrew…. He had a lot of time at work this morning! He has got some good points but I always have to remember this is his guy logical self thoughts which is right when looking at the big picture …

————————————————————————————————— Just to inform you on topics regarding government policies..

Once you can use critical thinking and understanding of said policies you will be able to distinguish between political bullshit and truth.

Also, if you are a true Catholic, you would not say things you do about government because liberals believe the government should be the religion and are against religious principles and morals and the idea that people should and have the right to be responsible for themselves (most of young people today do not associate with religion which is why they turn to government and well liberals promise everything even when they don’t deliver! young people don’t care). Things such as gay marriage and other laws redefining how people should live their lives is an attempt to dissuade people from religion but instead give the government their money and increase it’s power.

Lets take some examples:
1st example (assuming it was passed):
Law: Limit Size Soda is sold

Pros:
1.People feel like they are taking care of people not able to take care of themselves?
2.Allows foothold to “help” people more in the future by telling them what they can buy and how much?

Cons:
1.People have to pay more for the same soda hurting both consumers and producers
2.Government spends more money to pay to enforce this (government grows in power and needs more taxes)
3.Freedom is infringed, opens up possibility of millions of obscure laws and ways for government to control lives with this law as the basis for it’s constitutionality
4.People might take even less responsibility of their lives as government more and more infringes or rights of choice
Doesn’t stop people who want more soda from drinking more soda
5.There are many other drinks with just as much sugar (juices) that are not included in the law.

2nd example (I assume you would want this since you want with similiar things):
Law: Give everyone free wifi.

Pros:
1.everyone has access to wifi
2.people don’t have to work and can get “free” internet

Cons:
1.Costs go up for people already paying a shitload for wifi to now pay for those who do not pay
2.Slower Internet speed now that everyone is taking up bandwidth
3.More crimes? now that homeless and others without jobs need smart phones and ways to charge them (or perhaps another government program)
4.Government ability to control web (no more freedom? China or North Korea ring a bell?)
5.Government grows in power needs more taxes to manage security and implementation of free wifi networks
6.There are no restrictions on the government bureaucracy that takes place (just like all government programs) and no checks on spending, also expect inefficiencies such as weeks to fix any problem.
7.The government doesn’t do anything well, chances of implementation in all areas are zero, leaving some areas paying for something they don’t have access to unless they travel

3rd example:
Law: Let all illegal immigrants through

Pros:
1.Everyone can come to the US and be happy?
2.Need to keep worker base coming in?

Cons:
1.How to control and track these people should they do crimes or take government benefits (that they don’t pay for)
2.No other country allows this, as they want jobs for their citizens
3.Takes jobs from citizens
4.Easy for terrorism, drug cartels, other anti-American groups to infiltrate
5.Puts burden on government benefits, cops, health care, homeland security
6.America has always been an immigrant nation, but has also always had a system to allow people in (to avoid chaos)
7.People that don’t pay taxes shouldn’t be allowed to vote and take advantage of government programs
8.People trying to get into the country legally would be getting worse treatment than illegals and dissuade law abiding people that want to contribute to society
9.Overpopulation - leads to increase in food prices, water prices, electricity prices, congestion, crime, health problems

Any other liberal ideals you have? I guarantee if a logical person thought through any of these (not to mention the actual implementation of these ideals would have even more cons and less benefits) that they would be against them rather than taking the side of what they think as popular as shown by a biased media. Socialism, Marxism, Communism is nice in theory but that is not the “utopia” I believe in or America was founded on of freedom, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. Ask yourself if you want to live in China, North Korea, or Russia first before forming opinions that take America further down that path.

My Andrew is a hard core Republican. Now I do not understand politics and I am still trying to pick a side… Haha… Pick a side… I say it like I have a choice but really I should side with my husband. He is not very good at explaining why which side is better and this often leads to heated discussions because when he feels so strongly about something, all reason for the other party goes out the window and it just becomes frustrating because I do want to understand both sides. All I know is he hates the current president with a passion and will read any defaming books on him and I will agree there are alot!

Last week we had an argument about why they shouldnt or should reduce the amount of soda in fast food restos. Petty for me because I do not see the big picture like he does yet. For him its effing communism!.

This is where reading comes in and I take what I can from the internet. But I dont know, there are issues I’m for and against on both sides so time will tell which side I will be on. Do I even need to be on one? my gut says I will have to since Im all about picking a side and staying there so here is to having more political talk (yawn i know!)…. I know eventually his republican ideas will rub off on me and I have to admit we do have alot of the same ideals but for now I am happy not being on any side and just discussing what will happen on the next episode of the walking dead haha

Because i miss having my best friend around.....

There are always people you will be loyal to because they are your soulmates. They are the ones you can open up to without hesitation and know that no matter the distance or time, it will still be the same. They are the ones you understand and want to be in sync with no matter what goes on in your life because with everything you have been through, there shouldnt be any reason not to.
But I learned in order to have this bond, the same people have to have the same goals as you, the same values… You cant be trying to have these, you just should be… I have tried in the past to be someone with a different outlook but you will always be you no matter what and you will hurt others and vice versa. It is an experience and im always grateful for what I learn from.

I do regret not being loyal to certain friends from before because what can i say, i was young and didnt know any better and i wish i could have been there more but its only now i get that loyalty means a lot.. You cant be making all nice with this girl and know all the while she doesnt get along with the other girl you are hanging out with… that is just retarded! You are just having a great time going through gossip and sharing it with everyone else than you are being a friend. For these type of friends, its still fun and hanging out is cool but…you draw a line! I made a new friend some time back and i was going on and on about how great she was never knowing my bff hated that girl! Like… loathe! When she couldnt take it anymore she just snapped and let her feelings out and that was that! I didnt need any more reason because you love and hate for the person you care about.

Anyway i am babbling because given i will and have to make new friends here, i would just like to remember situations i have gone through and have to avoid. Getting along with people is something i will have to work on because i want meaningful relationships (which is something of a challenge here). It takes two i understand but like i said… Same goals… Same values…

Friends ask me how married life is and i always tell them it is ‘mahirap na masaya!’ We dont post the pictures of our fights and arguments but of the ones where we are having fun and smiling and look like we are in our honeymoon stage ofcourse. But we have been having fights even before we were married. Screaming matches and tinges of resentment just like all couples and we were over the honeymoon phase even before we tied the knot. We love like hell when we do and fight just as hard at the same time.

He is a quite difficult man. It is not in his character to be submissive. Only when the reason, purpose or whatever you call it satisfies him, not even just for my happiness. I tell my friends he will give me everything i need and only ‘occasionally’ what i want, especially if it is too expensive. But i respect that in him that he wont spoil me, or give in to my tantrums at times. This is the part where he challenges me and makes me want to prove that i deserve what i want.

I have a lot of pride myself and to just swallow it at times especially when i know i am wronged makes me feel helpless and i hate that feeling. So i know that marriage has alot of these times and we just charge to experience and get over it because at the end of the day, we are partners for life.
